Up Up And Away...

First of all, thank you to those who have already posted comments for me to read. I appreciate your words of advice and offers of help. It's nice to know someone's actually out there reading this. It will get better. I promise. So, thanks to all of you again.

Let me apologise if this entry rambles a bit. I'm at work and my co-workers are loud and strange folk. They both like to talk...and talk...and talk...and talk. The guy I work with will talk even if no one is listening. It's fascinating. He has long, complete conversations with himself. Or maybe he's talking with the objects around him. Possibly, he can see and communicate with a parallel universe that overlaps our own. There is an H.P. Lovecraft story about that called "From Beyond" (the story is better than the movie version). But, my co-worker doesn't need a machine to do it. Maybe he's just a loon. He also sings as he's working, but the unique thing is is that he sings what he is doing, usually to "The Sound of Music" or some other bad musical. So, if he's printing something, he'll be singing "Oh! I'm printing a two color job, and the rollers are inking up now!", but to the tune of "Doe, a deer/a female deer..." Wow!

My other co-worker is a yenta. Man, I've never met anyone who likes to talk to everyone within ear range (her voice carries, so ear range is about half a mile). Everyone who comes into our store knows her personal life inside and out. Plus, she has a short temper, and God help the customer who tests her patience. Suicide bombers are safer to be around when she's pissed. Right now she's griping about a weird woman who doesn't own a computer because she thinks it was created by Satan, "the 666 Machine" as this lady calls it. I'm not making that up either. This woman probably still has a Victrola to play her fuzzy warbles on.

They are good people, though. I like 'em, even if I zone out after a few seconds. They both begin to sound like the adults in a "Peanuts" cartoon. "Wah Wah Wah." They have a love/hate relationship with each other. I think they're in luuuv! They're always sniping at each other. They sound like they've been married to each other for too long.

See! I've wasted an entire entry on a completely different subject than what I wanted to write about. I'll try again tomorrow.

By the way. I'm an insane music fan. So, with every new entry I'm going to try and recommend a song, album, or artist to listen to. Today, I want to mention a song called "The Rat" by The Walkmen. It has got to be one of the best songs of the year so far. It just flat out cranks. The rest of the album that song comes from is more experimental and slightly too arty for its own good. But, definitely go and listen to "The Rat".
